Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado said that the Strategic Governance Roadmap has provice a clear direction in his governance.
“From the very beginning of this administration, we have pursued a clear direction and focused development agenda: our Strategic Governance Roadmap,” he said during his second State of the Province Address (Sopa) on Friday, Aug. 28, 2024.
He said the roadmap highlights nine Strategic Change Agenda, fully supportive of the Philippine Development Plan of His Excellency President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. A big round of applause to Pres. BBM and his administration.
The Roadmap, he said, was carefully crafted in partnership with our officials and department heads, after consulting our stakeholders. The process included reference to global, national, and regional goals. Again, let me say it with conviction: our administration’s direction and focus have been very clear from the start.
He said the outlook for Bohol’s economy is very positive.
According to the latest data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, the our Gross Domestic Product grew by 7.1 percent or an economic production of P171 Billion worth of goods and services, which is much higher than the 4.2 percent growth over the previous year. This also means that Bohol was the 3rd largest economy in Region 7, in the overall ranking of Provinces and Highly Urbanized Cities. Of course, things will change with the creation of the Negros Island Region, which leaves Bohol, Cebu, and Highly Urbanized Cities in Region 7.
