Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado delivered a longer State of the Province Address (Sopa) than last year. His second Sopa on Friday, Aug. 30 , lasted for almost three hours.
His two-hour-35-minute speech started at around 9:34 a. m. and ended at about 11:53 a.m.
He chalked up one hour and 44 minutes of his Sopa last year. Â
Aumentado spoke about his usual projects and future plans such as the Cebu – Bohol Friendship Bridge and Drug Rehabilitation Center.
He said Bohol’s economy is very positive our gross domestic producer grew by 7.1 percent.
He said the Provincial Government of Bohol purchased P5. 3 million worth of IV fluids testing kits.
The governor said the tourism industry in Bohol is even better with 463 percent growth with 1.4 million tourists last year.
The Provincial Government of Bohol has crafted the Bohol Island Geopark Management Council to protect the fragile environment of the province.
