Three villages in Ubay town will be placed on lockdown starting on Friday, January 22, 2021 due to six cases of Covid-19.

On a Facebook post on Thursday night, the Municipality of Ubay said that the villages of Poblacion, Fatima and Tapon will be temporarily on lockdown.

“TEMPORARY LOCKDOWN ang Metro Ubay (Barangay Poblacion, Fatima og Tapon). Ang temporary lockdown magpadayon hangtod makumpleto ang contact tracing na gebuhat sa atoang Municipal Inter-Agency Task Force (MIATF),” it said in an advisory.

It also advised residents to stay at home.

However, the public market will remain open to the public while implementing health protocols.

“Sa panahon sa temporary lockdown, ang atong merkado dili sirhan apan ang gipakusog nga pagpatuman sa mga protokol sa kahimsog himuon. Ang mga tawo nga mopalit sa mga kinahanglanon dili babagan sa mga checkpoint, ang mga tawo nga naa sa lista sa mga tracker e-intercept ug igatugyan sa mga Contact Tracers,” it added.
