A suspected big-time drug pusher from Tagbilaran City, Bohol was seized with two kilos of suspected shabu in Lapu-Lapu City on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
The suspect was identified as Mark Niño Caliniahan, 26, who was arrested in a buy-bust operation by operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas (PDEA-7), together with Naval Forces Central and Lapu-Lapu City Police Office, around 2 p. m. in Sitio Kadulang, Barangay Marigondon.
The suspect said he was paid only P15,000 for each transaction. It was the second time according to the suspect who reasoned that he needed the money because of his body ailment.
According to Leia Alcantara, PDEA-7 spokesperson, the suspect acted as the supplier of illegal drugs of some drug pushers who were previously arrested.
They seized two packs of suspected shabu weighing around two kilos from Caliniahan packed in Chinese tea bags. The drugs was estimated to have an average market value of P13,600,000.
According to the PDEA, the suspect is distributing in Bohol and Cebu Province as well as in Highly Urbanized Cities (HUC’s) in the Central Visayas Region.
