At least 15 hip-hop dance groups will battle it all out in the championship round of the Sabay Kabatan-onan Hiphop Dance Competition 2024.
Part of Sandugo sa Bohol’s Kasumaran events, the ‘Sabay’ finalists were revealed on the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Bohol Facebook page, after each district elimination round were held from July 4-9, with its final competition set in August.
Ubay hosted the second district eliminations on July 4 at the Ubay Gymnasium, revealing dance group finalists which include Clarin’s SB 3rd Gen, Trinidad’s Karomata Trinidad Dance Company, Sagbayan’s Street High, Inabanga’s INB DC, and Ubay’s Limitless Xtreme.
On July 5 at the Guindulman Gymnasium, the third district elimination was held, with finalists announced including Pano A’s of Alicia, Zimplicity of Loboc, PriMabini of Mabini, Serene MVT Cre of Candijay, and host group, Alisto of Guindulman.
The first district’s elimination round was held on July 9 in Balilihan Gymnasium with the top five winning teams namely, Piskaya Antequera of Antequera, Kapnayan Liyab of Panglao, 6327 Reppin of Loon, Friends Society of Tubigon and Dauis De La Danza of Dauis.
Acting Vice Governor and Senior Board Member Tita Baja, Second District Board Member Jamie Aumentado Villamor, Balilihan Mayor Pureza Chatto, and Vice Mayor Trisha Chatto were present during each respective district elimination.
The event is organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation led by its President Lawrence Xavier Ancla, supported by the Bohol Integrated Development Foundation Inc. and the Center for Culture and Arts Development of the Governor’s Office.
Sabay Kabatan-onan is one of the highlights of this year’s Sandugo sa Bohol celebration.
