Councilor Danilo Hayag Añora of Buenavista town in Bohol was shot dead by unidentified attackers on Friday early morning, police said.
The councilor was driving his motorcycle at past 12 a. m. from a derby when the perpetrators shot him in the head along the national highway in Cangawa National High School.
He was brought to Francisco Dagohoy Hospital in Inabanga town but he was declared dead on arrival.
Police said they have yet to establish the motive behind the killing.
