19 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Bohol

At least 19 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) were recorded in Bohol province on Wednesday (August 26).

Bohol Governor Arthur Yap, on his Facebook post, said the new patients came from six towns in Bohol.

There were 10 cases recorded in Talibon town where 8 were from Guindacpan Island, one from Brgy. San Jose and one from Calituban Island.

Two cases recorded in Danao town were locally stranded individuals (LSIs).

Four LSIs also tested positive of Covid-19 in Trinidad town, and one LSI each from Ubay, Tubigon and Batuan.

They were isolated at the respective municipal isolation centers and contact tracing also commenced.

Barangay San Jose and Calituban Island in Talibon town were placed on lockdown.

Bohol now has a total of 186 cases, with 72 active, 7 deaths, and 107 recoveries.

No deaths were registered on Wednesday.
