Balut vendor killed by 10-wheeler truck in Tagbilaran City

A balut vendor was killed after he was hit by a passing 10-wheeler truck on Thursday night Sept. 28, along CPG North Avenue in Barangay Taloto in Tagbilaran City.

The victim was identified as Alberto Obing, 69, from Barangay Cawayanan, Tubigon town, Bohol.

The 10-wheeler dumptruck was running but it suddenly lurched and fell near the ditch and hit Obing who was sitting while selling balut on the side of the road.

He was covered in gravel and was exhumed three hours after the incident.

Two people who were buying balut from Obing were quick to jump.

The dumptruck was hauling gravel from a barge at the city port and was driven by one Eddie Ferolino Arellano, from Cortes town.
