3 hurt as bus hits jeep in Loboc

Three persons were injured after a bus rammed a passenger jeepney in Loboc town, Bohol on Tuesday afternoon. 

According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Bryan Anthony Edulsa at the Loboc police station, the jeepney was unloading passengers at the side of the road in Barangay Agape when the bus hit the parked vehicle from behind at past 3 p.m.

Three passengers of the jeepney were injured. They were Matilde Baluran, 65; Emelda Varquez, 57; and Jacinta Ayos, 68. They were rushed to the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City for treatment. 

Several passengers of the bus also sustained minor injuries but they refused to be taken to the hospital.

Restituto Tahali, the bus’ driver, was placed under police custody pending the filing of charges against him.
