The chief of police of Sagbayan was injured after his vehicle he was driving figured in an accident along the
Sagbayan- Catigbian National Road particularly at Barangay Ubojan in Sagbayan town around 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Police Captain Eric Binangbang, 41, a resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Danao.
He is the chief of police of Sagbayan Police Station.
Initial investigation said that Binangbang came from the donning and oathtaking of the newly-promoted Philippine National Police personnel at Camp Francisco Dagohoy in Tagbilaran City.
He fell asleep while driving his vehicle on his way home. It accidentally hit the concrete electric post.
He was immediately brought to a hospital in Tagbilaran City for treatment.
