As we mark the first year anniversary of the devastation of typhoon Odette, let these random images taken by Helen Castaño bring you back to probably one of the darkest times in Bohol history.
The province commemorates the first anniversary of the onslaught of typhoon “Odette” (International name: Rai) on Friday, Dec. 16.
The typhoon which hit the Visayan region on Dec. 16, 2021, was then dubbed as the “one of the strongest typhoons” to hit the land.
One of the most affected areas is Ubay town.
Odette affected thousands of individuals, left 111 people dead and missing. It also displaced around 300,000 individuals.
