Provincial administrator Aster Caberte announced Sunday, Nov. 20, that unauthorized access to her Facebook (FB) page has been detected.
Caberte said the successful hacking of both her personal and official social media accounts was first noticed by her friends who received messages from her asking for email address and Facebook verification code.
“My FB account has been compromised and messages has been circulating using my account, asking for funds or information. Please disregard and refrain from engaging in any transactions via my fb account,” her message was relayed by Gov. Aris Aumentado.
“The matter is still under investigation and I hope for your kind support by reporting the afforementioned account in fb,” she added.
