Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado will take his oath of office as chairman of the Regional Development Council (RDC)-Central Visayas on Monday, Nov. 21.

Judge Jennifer Chavez-Marcos will administer the oath of Aumentado at 10:30 a.m. at at the Ceremonial Hall of the provincial Capitol.

President BongBong Marcos appointed Aumentado last October 19, 2022 as the new RDC chairman.

The Chairman shall serve for a fixed term of three years coinciding with the regular term of local elective officials.

The RDC-7 is the highest policy-making body in the region. It is tasked to coordinate the formulation of long-term, medium-term and annual socio-economic development policies of Central Visayas.

High-impact livelihood programs and big-ticket infrastructure projects need to earn the approval of RDC before implementation.

The Regional Development Council is composed of all provincial governors, city mayors, national government agencies, members of the business community, civil society and non-government organizations.

RDC-7 will convene its 4th Quarter Regular Meeting on Dec. 2, 2022.
