Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado took oath of office as the chairperson of the Regional Development Council (RDC)-Central Visayas before Judge Jennifer Chavez-Marcos on Monday, Nov. 21, at the provincial Capitol.

His appointment paper as RDC-7 chairperson was signed last October 19.

“In return for the trust and confidence afforded to me, rest assured that 100% committed to this responsibility-directing Central Visayas towards becoming an even more progressive and united region against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic and the devastations of Super Typhoon Odette,” Aumentado said.

Aumentado said he is committed to lead in coordinating and setting the direction of the region’s development efforts. Under his watch, he is hopeful to unite the region through the development of its tourism industry with the tourism alliances between and among the provinces of Cebu, Siquijor and Negros Oriental.

The RDC will push for the completion of major infrastructure projects.

“”With humility, I ask for your full support. Please work with me in ensuring that our beloved region achieves sustainability in the areas of food security, economic progress, inclusive growth, shared prosperity, good governance, and better lives for everyone,” said Aumentado.
