The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) is preparing its security measures for this year’s observance of All Saints/Souls’ Day or “Kalag-Kalag”.
Col. Osmundo Salibo, director of the BPPO, said that about 832 police officers will be deployed throughout Bohol province.
Apart from cemeteries, police will also secure other places of convergence such as churches, malls and public transportation terminals to show and make the public feel the maximum police visibility.
“Other government agencies will also be doing their part. They will be helping us,” Salibo said.
There will be around 1,757 force multipliers including volunteers- tanod, Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Groups, Patrolya ng Bayan, Alpha Kappa Rho and Tau Gamma Phi/Sigma.
There are also additional 352 personnel from the 47th Infantry Battalion of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) who will be partners with the PNP.
A police assistance desk will be established at the entrance of every cemetery here.
