The provincial government of Bohol on Friday announced that additional cash assistance will be given for the victims of typhoon Odette (Rai) whose households were totally damaged during the onslaught of Odette.
Provincial Administrator Aster Caberte said the Deparment of Social Welfare and Develepment (DSWD) commited that the National Housing Authority (NHA) will give additional P5,000 to complete the P10,000 cash assistance for the totally damaged households who were devastated by typhoon Odette.
Caberte clarified that the amount to be received is P5,000 only as additional to the initial P5,000 given by DSWD.
Caberte also clarified that the cash assistance will be distributed as soon as the second tranche is downloaded by Department of Budget and Management.
Odette devastated Bohol on Dec. 16, 2021. It destroyed houses and infrastructure and claimed at least 100 lives.
