A drug den was dismantled by anti-drug operatives and police on Monday night, July 18, along Miguel Paras Extension, Barangay Mansasa in Tagbilaran City, according to a report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas.
The report added that Jose Mabini P. Katalbas, alias Benie, 55, painter, the alleged maintainer of the drug den, and “drug den visitors” Leo B. Dela Torre, 41, tricycle driver; Joeber P. Blanco, 55, businessman; and Jessie G. Cortezano, 54, foreman were also arrested during the buy-bust.
Katalbas could dispose 25 grams a week.
Confiscated during the operation were eight packs of suspected shabu weighing around 11 grams with an estimated market value of P74,800, buy-bust money, cash amounting to P250, one (1) black Nokia keypad phone, and various drug paraphernalia.
Cases for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 and 15 Art II of RA9165 will be filed against the suspects.
