Bohol placed under GCQ with heightened restrictions from Oct. 16 to 31

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte approved the recommendation Wednesday of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), placing Bohol under general community quarantine (GCQ) “with heightened restrictions” from Oct. 16 to 31 amid the threat of Covid-19 Delta variant.

The government’s coronavirus task force made its recommendations for the month of October.

The IATF-EID also recommended the same quarantine restriction for Lapu-Lapu City and Negros Oriental.

Meanwhile, Cebu City, Cebu province, Mandaue City and Siquijor province will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) from Oct. 16 to 31.

The province has a total of 19,115 coronavirus infections after the BIATF recorded 52 new cases as of Oct. 13. Tjere were 514 recorded total deaths.
