Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senate President Vicente Sotto III will be in Bohol province on Tuesday, April 5.
They will be accompanied by former former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief and senatorial candidate Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar.
According to Jagna councilor Anthony Aniscal, they will proceed to Jagna town to attend the proclamation rally of Jagna Mayor Joseph Rañola and his slate of Jagnaanon For Progressive Governance.
Supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte have held rallies in Bohol to mark his 80th birthday and to protest his detention in The Hague where he faces a charge of crimes against humanity over his deadly war on drugs.
The Commission on Elections has places six towns and Tagbilaran City in Bohol in the yellow category of the election areas of concern and would force the election security operators to put in a bolstered security to ensure peaceful and fair elections.Â
