TAGBILARAN CITY — A 26-year-old woman was critically injured after she suddenly jumped off a motorcycle while traveling with her live-in partner during an argument over money in Alicia, Bohol.
According to the woman’s live-in partner, he had asked her for ₱500, which reportedly triggered an argument between them.
The woman then walked away, but the man followed her on his motorcycle.
The man said he initially did not intend to let her ride with him. However, she reportedly shouted, “You might as well get hit,” prompting him to turn back and allow her to board the motorcycle.
A few minutes after they resumed their trip, the woman suddenly jumped from the motorcycle.
She sustained serious head injuries and suffered heavy bleeding. She was immediately taken to a hospital, where she remained in critical condition.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s decision to jump from the moving motorcycle.
