The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) issued an orange rainfall warning for Bohol and its neighboring provinces in Central Visayas and Samar on Wednesday morning, December 29, 2021.

NDRRMC: (8:15AM, 29Dec21) Orange Rainfall Warning sa Bohol, Cebu, Eastern Samar at Samar . Nagbabanta ang matinding pag-ulan, pagbaha at pagguho ng lupa.

This means that moderate to heavy rainfall is expected and flash floods and landslides may occur in disaster prone areas.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued an advisory at 8 a.m. on Wendesday, December 29, 2021, that the entire Central Visayas should expect light to moderate rains.

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are expected over NegrosOriental within 2-3 hours.

The above conditions are being experienced in Rest of Cebu; Siquijor which may persist within 2-3 hours.

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to monitor the weather condition.

A shear line affecting the eastern section of the Visayas is causing the rains.
