Bohol Second district Rep. Aris Aumentado on Saturday said he allocated funds at the Department of Health (DOH) for locally stranded Boholanos for a free reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test.

“Gagahin ta ug pondo sa DOH para sa atong kaigsoonang Bol-anon aron ma libre ang mga LSI in Cebu sa RT-PCR Test para maghatag ug gamay nga kahupay kanila,” Aumentado said in a statement.

Returning Boholanos have complained of huge prices from many of the 400-plus firms offering PCR tests.

Tests cost about P1,500 to P5,000 per person on average but prices can reach higher.

Stranded Boholanos can avail free PCR test at DOH Regional Office Swabbing Center along Osmena Boulevard in Cebu City.
