2 drug pushers arrested in Panglao

Two suspected illegal drugs traders have been arrested in Panglao town during a buy-bust operation conducted by agents of the PDEA-Bohol and Panglao police.

PDEA-Bohol identified the two suspects as Romel Gulayan, 40, a construction worker a resident of Villa Arcayo, Carmen, Bohol but currently residing at Handig, Loon, Bohol and Jomar Bongo, 23, jobless, a resident of Tawala, Panglao, Bohol.

They were arrested at 7:55 p.m. on Friday, Oct 1, after selling methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu, to police poseur buyer.

Confiscated during the operation were one (1) piece large pack heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing MOL 50 grams with standard drug price of Php 340,000.00, buybust money and other pieces of non drug evidence.

A case for violation of Sec 5 in relation to Section 26 Art II of RA 9165 is being readied for the filing in court against the suspects.
