Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday, January 22, 2026, her husband, First District Rep. Baba Yap, announced.
The lawmaker shared the news on his Facebook page, posting a photo and confirming that the newborn is their child and the couple’s third daughter.
“Today, January 22, 2026, we welcome our third daughter. Another addition to our growing family. Tagnaa unsay ngalan,” Rep. Yap wrote on Facebook, inviting friends and followers to suggest a name.
In another post, he expressed gratitude and joy over the birth of their child, describing the baby as their “little miracle” and affectionately calling her his “third bodyguard.”
“Welcome to the world, our little miracle and my third bodyguard. Dada, Mama, Janah, and Jaby can’t wait to share life with you, with Dwayne guiding us,” he wrote.
No further details on the baby’s name. Both mother and child were reported to be doing well.
