A member of the communist-terrorist group in Ubay town voluntarily surrendered to authorities.

Following government negotiations, Salvador Golosino Avenido a.k.a. Admiral/Samuel/Sadu, 61 years old and a full-time member of Sandatahang Yunit Propaganda/Alyansang Yunit Propaganda (SYP/AYP) Platoon of Bohol Party Committee voluntarily surrendered to Ubay Municipal Police Station, Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) at around 7 p.m. on September 28, 2020, in Ubay town.

Avenido is identified as the organizer and territorial leader of the Hugbong Mag-uumang Bol-anon- Kilusang Mag-uumang Pilipinas (HUMABOL-KMP), associated with Pambansang Katipunan mga Magbubukid (PKM). He also organized the peasant sectors of farmers and fishermen namely PAFFO, BFFO, USOFO, ASFA, and NAGMASAJO.

Moreover, in September 2001, Avenido integrated into an arm component of Abe Squad Front (Prente) 4 of the National People’s Army operating in Bohol which led to series of encounters between government forces and CTGs.

After major setbacks and black propaganda from the communist terrorist groups, Avenido decided to surrender and return to the folds of the law.

Once fully validated, the said surrenderee will be enrolled and granted the privileges under the government’s E-CLIP (Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program).

Brigadier General Albert Ignatius Ferro, Police Regional Office 7 Regional Director, in a press conference Tuesday afternoon, October 6, said Avenido’s surrender is an example of the government’s sincerity in helping the rebels go back to their normal lives and be members of society. He added that Avenido will be provided with livelihood and government support.
