An 18-year-old tricycle driver experienced difficulty in walking after he was allegedly raped by a gay man at 4:50 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, in Barangay Poblacion, Toledo City, Cebu.
Police identified the suspect as Jerny Mahidlawon Salvani, 24, a former caregiver and a resident of Sitio Drilling, Brgy. Luray 2, in the said city.
Salvani was immediately arrested by police at 6:30 a.m. after Gerry (not his real name) sought help at their office.
Police Staff Sgt. Alfredo De Gracia, Toledo Police Station investigator, said Gerry was waiting for a passenger when Salvani arrived and offered him P200 for sex.
He was brought to Salvani’s house and allegedly pushed and raped Gerry.
Police are awaiting the results of Gerry’s medical examination to support the filing of a rape (sodomy) case.
Salvani apologized. However, Gerry is firm on filing a case against Salvani.
