The Bohol Provincial Crime Laboratory ( BPCL) on Tuesday turned over the pieces of drug evidence to Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Central Visayas’ Laboratory Section at Bohol Provincial Police Office, Crime Laboratory Section in Tagbilaran City.

Before the turnover, the chemist of PDEA RO VII conducted qualitative examination on the pieces of drug evidence with a total weight of 4,264.00 grams.

The turnover was in compliance to the guidelines on the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Section 21 of R.A. 9165 as amended by R.A. 10640.

Said illegal drugs are subject for destruction through thermal decomposition.

Thermal Decomposition, or thermolysis, is a process of breaking down chemical compounds by heat. At 1,000 degrees centigrade, all dangerous drugs are totally decomposed or broken down.
