From 919 active cases last August 20, the cases have since reached a daily count of 1842, August 31.

The active cases were determined after patients underwent swab testing and these samples were sent to Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) molecular laboratories at the Bohol Containerized RT PCR molecular laboratory (BC Molecular Lab) or Gov Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) molecular laboratory.

From August 20, Bohol has since recorded 1,724 active cases; 1,324 of them were from the molecular laboratory test results of the GCGMH and 400 of them from swab samples analyzed at the BC Molecular Lab.

GCGMH molecular laboratory processed 4,395 swab samples in the last 11 days while BC Molecular Lab processed 1,223 samples for the same period.

Of the 4,395 swab samples processed at the GCGMH, 1,324 of these came out positive, thus the facility registers a 30.12% positivity rating.

On the other hand, of the 1,223 collected swab samples brought to BC Molecular Lab, 400 of them came out positive after laboratory analysis.

This is 32.70 % positivity rating.

Of the total 1,724 samples which turned positive, GCGMH processed a huge bulk of the samples at 1,324 as against BC Molecular Lab which only had 400.

Over-all, GCGMH processed 76.79% of the swab samples in Bohol while BC Molecular Lab processed the remaining 26.30% of the swab samples.
