The 14th Sangguniang Panlungsod led by Jose Antonio “Toto” S. Veloso approved a resolution accrediting the Pamaong Marcela Airport Tricycles Operators Drivers Association (PMATODA).
This is to further strengthen the partnership of the City of Tagbilaran with civil society organizations.
Councilor Jonas Revil Cacho , chairperson of the Committee on External Affairs, sponsored the resolution.
He said by accrediting PMATODA, a community-based people’s organization, the city is making them as active partners by involving them in the plans, programs, projects or activities of the local government units and in the delivery of basic services and facilities.
However, even if PMATODA has been given due accreditation, it will no longer have any representation in the local special bodies (LSB) since the LSB had been organized last September 2019.
