The population in Bohol has reached 1.4 million, the latest census from the government showed.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has released the official updated population figures in the country as of May 1, 2020.
In 2020, there were 1,394,329 residents in Bohol compared to 1,255,128 residents in 2010.
Tagbilaran City is the most-populated place in the province, given that it is a provincial landmark. The city’s population is at 104, 976.
Ubay is the second-most-populaced area in the province with 81,799 people. Talibon is at third with 71,272.
PSA placed the population of the Philippines, as of May 1, 2020, at 109,035,343. The last census made was in 2015 in which the country’s total population back then was still at 100,981,437.
Meanwhile, the population in neighboring provinces are as follows: Cebu- 3,325,385, Negros Oriental – 1,432,990, and Siquijor – 103,395.
