A pastor in Mabini town was arrested for illegal possession of firearm in Barangay San Jose in Mabini town Friday.
Police identified the suspect as Nathaniel Bernales Vallente, 52, of Purok-5 Barangay San Jose, Mabini, Bohol. He serves as a pastor of the United Church of Christ (UCCP) based in Mabini.
Police raided Vallente’s house thru search warrant issued by Executive Judge leo. Moises Lison of Regional Trial Court (RTC) 3 in Tagbilaran City.
Authorities recovered four firearms, live ammunition and subversive documents.
Police said Vallente is an active supporter of CTG Bohol Party Committee. He is a member of the Tabada Crime Group engaged in gun running activities in the province.
