PANGLAO, Bohol — Kapuso star Alden Richards visited the Panglao Municipal Police Station on Tuesday, drawing cheers and uplifting the morale of local police officers.
The visit was upon the invitation of lawyer Rafael Calinisan, vice chairperson and executive officer of the National Police Commission (Napolcom), who accompanied the actor during the brief stop.
Calinisan thanked Richards for recognizing the hard work of policemen in maintaining peace and order, saying the actor’s presence gave importance not only to the officers in Panglao but to the entire police force.
“Labas-masok man ang turista sa Bohol, halos walang dumadalaw sa ating kapulisan to check on them. Napakalaking bagay nito para sa amin,” Calinisan said, noting that morale-boosting visits such as this are rare.
Calinisan was the first Napolcom commissioner to visit the area, and that Richards may also be the first major artist to personally visit the station.
Police officers expressed appreciation for the visit, describing it as an encouraging gesture amid their continuing duty to keep Bohol’s top tourist destination safe and secure.
