Bohol Governor Arthur Yap is capping off a difficult year amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic with a poignant message to his constituents.
He said fear and pain brought by the Covid-19 pandemic are some things to leave behind in 2020.
He said that while Covid-19 vaccine is not yet available in Bohol, he urged Boholanos to follow minimum health standards to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
“Tungod kay walay kasiguruan kung kanus-a muabot sa Bohol, kinahanglan nga magpadayun kita sa agresibong prevention batok sa COVID-19 dinhi sa atong probinsya,” the top provincial official said in a social media post on Thursday.
“Hinaot nga ang tuig 2021 mamahimong mapaysaloon, mas manghitagon ug puno sa paglaum,” he concluded.
