With God all things are possible.

This was the message of Tagbilaran Bishop Abet Uy in his homily on the New Year’s Eve Mass at the Saint Joseph the Worker Cathedral on December 31, 2020, the last day of the year.

Uy, who celebrated the mass along with other diocesan priests, said in his homily that there is more to look forward to in 2021 because God can do wonders.

He urged the faithful to continue making resolutions even if they failed because it doesn’t have to be a sign of failure if we aren’t succeeding by now.

With god all things are possible.

He said that through experiences and failures to fulfill the new year’s resolutions, we can feel our need for God.

With God all things are possible,” he said.

He challenged the faithful to be peacemakers, truth tellers and carers.

He said we must understand that being able to do all things through Christ who strengthens us means that we must depend on His strength continuously in order to do all things and to keep all our resolutions.

Uy said the New Year is filled with prayers and hopes for the end of the pandemic.
