A woman was killed while two others including a former town mayor were unhurt after the vehicle they were riding was ambushed by unidentified assailants in Barangay Dampas in Tagbilaran City on Tuesday afternoon, December 15, 2020.
Local police have yet to determine the motive for the attack.
Bohol Island News decided to withhold the name of the fatality and two passengers including a former town mayor until police has official statement.
A witness told police that while the woman was attempting to maneuver a steep portion of the road, the motorcycle approached the vehicle. The backrider suddenly pulled out a pistol and shot the victim several times before fleeing.
