4 family members hurt in motorcycle collision in Alicia

At least four family members were injured after two motorcycles collided head-on along the national road in Barangay Napo in Alicia town on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 10.

A police report identified the victims as Rico Gundaya, 34, his common-law wife Maria Helen Gumop-as and their two children.

While Gundaya was driving his sidecar from the town proper, he suddenly swerved towards the middle of the road and collided with another motorcycle driven by Stephen Bolanio, 48, a resident of Barangay Poblacion in Alicia.

Gundaya suffered from an epilepsy attack that he lost control of the vehicle which was said to have collided with another motor.

The motorists sustained minor injuries and were rushed to Candijay Community Hospital for immediate treatment.
