Illegal gambling suspect apprehended

TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL — Law enforcement units in Bohol conducted anti-illegal gambling operation on Thursday, July 24, 2025, resulting in the arrest of an individual and the seizure of  evidence.

At around 8:30 p.m., police operatives from the Sevilla Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Regional Special Operations Unit 7 (RSPU7) and Bohol Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), arrested Robert Patac Dalogdog, 48, a resident of Barangay Calinginan Norte, Sevilla, for alleged involvement in illegal Swertres gambling.

The joint operation was supervised by Lt. Col. Wilfredo Traspo Taran Jr. and Major Philip Cabardo Quilala.

Dalogdog, identified as a local usher, was caught in the act of facilitating bets.

Authorities recovered the following items from the suspect: P20 marked bust money, stub sheets with number combinations, P80 believed to be gambling proceeds, a pad of betting stubs, and a black ballpen used in recording bets.

Dalogdog was read his constitutional rights and brought to the Sevilla Police Station for proper disposition. He faces charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9287, which prohibits illegal numbers games.
