A man who was accused of homicide and has eluded authorities for nine years, was finally caught on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 2 in Loboc town, Bohol province.
Ricky Canaria, 28, who was originally from Sitio Pandanlan, Brgy. Bagumbayan, Paracale in Camarines Norte was arrested after he was served a warrant of arrest for homicide by members of the Loboc police.
Presiding Judge Roberto A. Escaro of the Regional Trial Court Branch 38, 5th Judicial Region in Daet, Camarines Norte issued a warrant of arrest on Pebrero 28, 2011 against Canaria after he failed to attend a court hearing for a frustrated homicide and homicide cases against him.
He was at large and eluded authorities for nine years.
Now that he has been arrested, Canaria said he had no other choice but to face the consequences of his actions.
