Bohol’s most wanted car thief has been arrested in Luzon, police said.

Carlo Calexes Requeron was arrested by members of the Laguna Highway Patrol Team (PHPT) under Capt Charlie Reyes who reported it to Lt Col. Sam Belmonte, Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A chief.

Reyes said Requeron is wanted for stealing several vehicles.

Reyes said personnel from Laguna PHPT in close coordination with PHPT Bohol conducted the operation against Requeron in Barangay Pasong Tirad, Makati City, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant of arrest for carnapping issued by Judge Suceso Arcamo, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 47 in Tagbilaran City issued on July 30, 2019.

The judge recommended bail of P180,000 for the suspect. Requeron was informed of the nature of his arrest and was appraised of his constitutional rights and anti-torture laws, and was brought to PHPT Laguna for proper disposition.
