Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go through his team on Friday distributed cash assistance to 400 Ubay public market vendors as the coronavirus crisis continues to affect many Filipinos, especially their livelihood.
A P2, 000 cash assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) were given to at least 400 beneficiaries.
Ubay councilor Violy Reyes said another 1,100 beneficiaries will receive P2, 000 cash assistance tomorrow, Oct. 24.

Go provided food packs, masks, face shields and meals.
In his virtual message, Go said the workers and small entrepreneurs in public markets are among the most vulnerable in their line of work.
He asked the vendors to to follow health protocols.

Go also gave away 10 bicycles to select recipients to help them in their daily commute to work.
Three beneficiaries also received tablets for their children to use in their online classes.
Vanessa Aumentado, wife of Bohol 2nd District Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, thanked Go for the assistance.
The event was also attended by DSWD Asec. Jade Jamolod.
