5 more positive Covid-19 cases in Tagbilaran

Five new cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) were reported Monday (August 31, 2020) by Tagbilaran City Mayor John Geesnell “Baba” Yap.

In an advisory on Monday, Yap said the five new Covid-19 patients were two locally stranded individuals (LSIs), one overseas Filipino worker (OFW), one member of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Tagbilaran (BFPT), and one resident of Barangay Bool.

The LSIs were a 27- year- old female from Barangay Taloto who arrived from Cagayan de Oro City last August 19 and 29- year- old female from Barangay Booy who arrived from Cebu City last August 19. They have no symptoms.

The OFW was a 43-year-old male from Barangay Booy who arrived last Aug. 19, 2020 from Cebu City.

The LSI and OFW from Barangay Booy had shown no symptoms and are now on quarantine.

The 52-year-old resident in Barangay Bool had sorethroat and fever who was quarantined at home, while the 40-year-old male from Corella town who works at BFPT had no symptoms.

The patients from BFPT and Bool got infected due to local transmission.

Bohol now has 216 confirmed COVID-19 cases, where 101 are active cases, 107 recoveries and 8 deaths.
