A suspected drug peddler was arrested in Tagbilaran City during a buy-bust operation on Thursday afternoon, July 16, 2020.
Ma. Teresa Arcamo, 30, a resident of Habitat Village in Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City was arrested by Tagbilaran police at 4:40 p. m. at 13 C Gallares St., Purok 7, Barangay Poblacion 2, Tagbilaran City.
The seized suspected shabu has an estimated weight of 25 grams with Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) Value of P170, 000.
The suspect was brought to Tagbilaran City Police Station for proper booking, documentation and filing of case at the Prosecutors Office.
The operation by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of Tagbilaran City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) was led by Lt. Col. Mary Crystal Bunao Peralta, the first female chief of Tagbilaran City Police Station.
“This operation will surely save many lives and families,” said Peralta.
“Our children should be protected against this evil and we should continue our campaign against all forms of illegal drugs. We should jointly intensify our campaign on social media to educate our people on its ill effects and to reduce the demand,” she added.
