The skeletal remains of a former New People’s Army (NPA) member were exhumed Wednesday afternoon in barangay Rizal in Batuan town by a team from the Philippine Army’s 47th Infantry Battalion and the police.

First Lieutenant Elma Grace Remonde, Civil Military Relations Officer of the 47th IB, said that the person identified only as alias Ka Willy, Ka Dax and Ka Ar-Ar, 43, a resident of Negros province, was buried by an NPA supporter after he died last August 8, 2019.

Ka Willy was the Vice-Squad Leader Three in Bohol Party Committee of NPA in Bohol province.

It was believed Ka Willy, Ka Dax, Ka Ar-Ar committed suicide or he was killed by other members after he wanted to go back to his province.

The circumstances of his death was learned after an NPA member Crisologo Guimaras was captured in Barangay Bayawahan, Sevilla town after a clash last June.

The remains was covered with a sack and hammock. His personal things such as alcohol and lunch box were also found in the grave.

The remains of Ka Willy was buried in a public cemetery in Batuan.
