Troops from 47th Infantry Battalion (IB) encountered an undetermined number of armed men around 5:45 p.m. on Friday, June 26 in Barangay Bayawahan in Sevilla town.
First Lieutenant Elma Grace Remonde, civil military officer of the Philippine Army’s 47th IB, said that
there were reports recieved from civilians that some armed men were sighted in the area.
The army immediately responded and resulted to a firefight.
