BACLAYON, Bohol — A classroom at Baclayon National High School in Purok 1, Barangay Landican, Baclayon, was completely destroyed by fire on Tuesday, August 25, but no one was injured or killed.
Bohol Provincial Fire Marshal FSupt. Raul Bustalino said the fire broke out at around 11:41 a.m. and was raised to the second alarm at 12:02 p.m. before reaching the third alarm at 12:15 p.m.
The affected classroom had an estimated floor area of 30 square meters and was reported to have been totally destroyed.
Firefighters from Baclayon, Alburquerque, Dauis and Tagbilaran responded to the incident. The Baclayon Fire Station arrived four minutes after receiving the report, covering a distance of about three kilometers from the station.
The Baclayon National High School was identified as the owner and occupant of the affected structure.
No families were affected by the fire, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
