At least 32 Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) in Bohol have been transported back to their hometowns in Siquijor on Wednesday, June 17.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Western Bohol said that these 32 LSIs have been spending three months in Bohol due to lockdowns implemented in most parts of the country.
Since the shift of the general community quarantine (GCQ) of the province, this has paved way for the return of these LSIs.
Under the guidelines of the Inter-Agency Task Force on the management of Emerging Infectious Disease, sea travel to GCQ to GCQ areas is allowed provided that the vessel will only accommodate 50% of its original capacity.
The stranded individuals, for this batch, boarded
PCG’s BRP Capones where Capt. Romeo Pulido Jr manned the vessel.
The LSIs left Bohol at past noon and arrived at Larena, Siquijor at 2:30 p.m.
The passengers were assisted by Lt. Junior Grade Tristan Jener Erediano, station commander of PCG-Western Bohol. He was assisted by
Petty Officer First Class Paul Vincent Yu, substation commander.
