Guindulman police arrested 12 persons during the one-day “Oplan Facemask” conducted in Guindulman town on Wednesday, June 17.
In a Facebook post, Guindulman police station said the 12 persons were arrested for not wearing face masks outside of their respective residences, in violation of an Executive Order, which requires wearing of face masks and face covers in public places.
The arrested persons which were first offenders were told to clean the surrounding.
“For humanitarian consideration for being first offender all of them were reprimanded and they rendered Community Service by cleaning the surroundings particularly at Guindulman Mps Bppo,” the post said.
Police have been urging the public to wear facemasks or face covers every time they go out of their residences as an effective measure against the spread of novel coronavirus.
