Another batch of 28 stranded Boholanos arrived in the province on Friday early morning, May 22.
Of the 28 returning Boholanos, nine were locally stranded individuals (LSIs) and 19 were repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
In a Facebook post, provincial disaster risk reduction and management officer Anthony Damalerio said that “all safety and medical protocols were strictly followed and implemented.”
According to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)- Central Visayas, among the 9 LSIs was a Swedish national bound for Panglao with complete requirements.
Damalerio said the Swedish is a long-time resident of Panglao.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Bohol said they arrived at the Tagbilaran port at 4 a.m. Friday, May 22.
The 19 OFWs were immediately transferred to their quarantine facility in a resort in Panglao town, while the LSIs were brought to the local quarantine facilities in Tagbilaran City and Dauis.
While at the boat, the OFWs were separated from LSIs to observe social distancing. The OFWs were also the first to disembark from the boat when they arrived at the Tagbilaran port.
All of the returning Boholanos will undergo another 14-day quarantine.
