The Philippine National Police (PNP) Health tallied 17 more cops positive of the coronavirus disease, bringing the total to 231 personnel infected with COVI-19.
According to Police Brigadier General Herminio Tadeo Jr, one personnel recovered from the disease bringing the total to 67. Meanwhile, the number of fatalities in the police force stayed at four.
As of May 16, the 17 more confirmed cases were:
54 year old policeman from Rizal;
53 year old policeman from Pasig City;
50 year old policeman from Baguio City;
47 year old policeman from Quezon City;
47 year old policeman from Caloocan City;
39 year old policeman from Mandaluyong City;
35 year old policeman from Taguig City;
34 year old policeman from Taguig City;
34 year old policeman from Parañaque City;
33 year old policewoman from Quezon City;
33 year old policewoman from Manila;
32 year old policeman from Las Piñas;
32 year old policeman from Caloocan City;
31 year old policeman from Quezon City;
27 year old policeman from Manila;
27 year old policeman from Quezon City; and
25 year old policewoman from Manila.
All new diagnosed personnel were assigned in Metro Manila.
Among these number of cases, 116 patients are in quarantine facilities, seven are admitted in hospitals, and 35 are undergoing home quarantine.
PNP HS also documented 687 police personnel who were listed as Probable Persons Under Investigation (Probable PUIs) and 536 police personnel considered as Suspected Persons Under Investigation (Suspected PUIs).
A total of 1,728 personnel which includes 841 Probable PUIs, 871 Suspected PUIs and 16 Confirmed have completed self/home.
The NHQ PNP COVID-19 Patient Care Center (Kiangan Billeting Center) has admitted nine PNP personnel listed as PUIs and who undergo self-quarantine (1 PCO, 7 PNCO, and 1 NUP) while the Oval tranformation quarantine facilitily accomodated a total of 21 personnel which includes 6 PCO, 12 PNCO and 3 NUP.
The Taekwondo quarters in Camp Crame admitted 16 personnel which includes 2 PCO, 7 PNCO and 7 NUP, while PICC Quaranting Facility has now admitted 12 civilians. (PNP-PIO)
