The second batch of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) repatriated due to the coronavirus pandemic arrived in Bohol on Saturday morning.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-Bohol said the 51 (not 52 as earlier reported) arrived at 5 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the Tagbilaran port.
The Provincial Emergency Management Administration (PEMA) team facilitated and disinfected 51 Boholano OFWs upon their arrival at Tagbilaran Port. They immediately proceeded to their quarantine facility in Panglao.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said they were also tested negative from COVID PCR test in Cebu and complied more than 15 days of quarantine.
These 51 OFWs were stranded in Cebu.
Like the first batch of OFWs, they were quarantined for 14 days.
Bohol Gov. Art Yap has required returning OFWs to have an individual certification of negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests results and completion of the 14 day quarantine and additional Rapid Tests.
At least 56 OFWs arrived in Bohol last April 28.
